STM exclusive recording: Langhorne Slim: Live at The Hard Rock - Nashville
As a part of the 2010 Americana Music Awards, STM was invited to a Ramseur Records party. While there, we were able to record Langhorne Slim's explosive, non-stop 30 minute set. This event was such a highlight, we decided to pull it back out of our vault for a limited time to bring in the new year. This download will expire on January 5th, 2011, so get it while you can! We hope you enjoy this recording as much as we have. Be on the lookout in coming weeks for more exclusive STM recordings including Rancid and many more... Happy New Year, and many thanks for reading our blog.

2010 was a very impressive year in music. Unfortunately, there were also several devastating losses and unfortunate happenings. Let's take a moment to look back over the past year to remember some of the great musicians our world lost, and recap those in the industry who earned (or maintained) jailbird status.
Gone but not forgotten:

Solomon Burke (1940 - 2010)
Ronnie James Dio (1942-2010)
Jay Reatard (1980-2010)
Captain Beefheart (1941-2010)
Paul Gray (1972-2010)
Peter Steele (1962-2010)
Willie Nelson - Marijuana -- Again
Too $hort - Three accounts battery
Vince Neil - Drunken Driving/Speeding
George Michael - Driving under the influence... Into a FU%$ING building!

May all who left us Rest In Peace, and all who didn't make Santa's "nice" list learn a lesson for next year... (Except for Willie... For the love of God, leave Willie alone!)
